An Aerial view of Failaka Heritage Village Spring2004

This was the first old house to be converted into a stable block

Cleaning out the rubbish and filling the wells and septic tanks took several days

This is now the head groom's accomodation

 

Above are photographs of the old traditional house and courtyard that was converted into the stables. The house was in a completely dilapidated state.

Plans were drawn for the conversion by the Assistant Village Manager/Stable Manager, Denise Hartley and completed by the village's team of artisans.
